Main cooling water system (or called circulating water system) during the units are in operating will provide cooled water to the condensers of the turbo-unite and the heat exchangers of the closed cooling water system(SRI) of the conventional island, is for remove the after-heat. The water source of the main cooling water system shall being the sea water.
The main cooling water system shall be consisted mainly of outer diversion works out site (This part could be worked out after finished the conceptual design stage is about in September 1998), forebay on site, intake structures on site, water supply tunnel on site (C.B), rubbish cleaning equipment (drum-type filters), circulating water pumps, inlet pipe and valve of condenser, condensers, outlet pipe and valve and condenser, syphon well, water discharge structure (attached drawing 10.4.5 could worked out after finished the conceptual design is about in September 1998).
